ANA “GAME CHRONICLE” Wins Bronze Lion at Cannes Lions 2021

ANA’s branded content “GAME CHRONICLE,” which promotes approximately 40 years of Japanese game culture to the world, has won a Bronze Lion in the Entertainment category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity—the world’s premier advertising and communications award.

Introducing the history of video games from the 1980s to the 2010s across 100 topics, this project is an action-adventure online game where players control a character to collect items within a game world. It is an experience that seamlessly integrates play and learning.

In addition to this achievement, the work has received the Good Design Award 2020 (Japan), Bronze awards at the Asian advertising festivals SPIKES ASIA 2021 and AD STARS, a Merit award in the Digital Craft category at The One Show (one of the world’s top three advertising awards), and a Nomination in the Game or Application category at the prestigious Webby Awards.
